Visit each venue’s website to view their accessibility information:
In California, anyone can purchase and resell legitimate tickets. Buyer Beware: Tickets sold by resellers have substantial service fees, often more than 300% of face value.
We cannot control the fees someone else may charge for tickets we do not authorize to be re-sold. If you purchase tickets from anyone other than the Philharmonic Society of Orange County, please check the seller's credibility and examine tickets carefully for authenticity.
Duplicate, counterfeit or otherwise altered tickets will not be honored for admission to any performance.
Occasionally we may allocate tickets through Goldstar or a performing artist or company will make tickets available through their official or fan club website.
There is no strict dress code for Philharmonic Society concerts. Patrons typically attend concerts in business casual attire, but please feel free to dress comfortably.
All Patrons in attendance are required to wear a shirt and shoes at all times for their own safety. Venue management reserves the right to deny entry to patrons wearing clothing items displaying offensive text and/or images.
There is no need to know the music beforehand. Some concertgoers feel they have a deeper concert experience if they study the music prior to the performance. If that is your preference, we provide digital program notes a few days prior to the performance. At the concert, you will also receive a physical copy of the program. We also often provide a pre-concert lecture an hour before the performance with the purpose of introducing audiences to the music.
We recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the performance or pre-concert lecture, allowing you ample time to find parking, pick up/purchase tickets, and find your seats.
Yes, bags are allowed. Certain venues may require you go through a security checkpoint and bag check before entering the lobby. Visit each venue’s website to view their bag policies:
Sometimes CDs/merchandise will be for sale in the lobby before or after the performance. Each performance is different, so feel free to check in with the Philharmonic Society Box Office at 949.553.2422 a week before the performance to see if CDs/merchandise will be sold.
Yes, most of the venues we present at have food and drinks available for purchase. Note: some venue concessions are cash only and some do not allow food/drink in the auditorium.
We would love for you to share musical experiences with your children! Every child is different—if you think your child can remain seated and quiet for the duration of the performance (with a 20-minute intermission), then feel free to bring them to the performance. Note: all concertgoers—including children—must have a reserved seat. View each venue’s website to see their policies for children attending:

Applauding in a rousing ovation at the end of a piece is exciting, but doing the same between movements of a classical work might distract the artists. If you are unsure about when to applaud, a good rule of thumb is after the final movement. You can also follow the lead of other audience members.
Going to a performance is a special event, so feel free to take photos before and after the performance. Photography or video recording during the concert is strictly prohibited.
After the program has finished and the artists have taken their bows, they may return to the stage and perform additional pieces based on the audience’s excitement and applause. There is no guarantee for an encore, but clapping enthusiastically will never hurt the chances of one.
Sometimes artists will appear in the lobby after the performance to sign CDs or programs. This varies from performance to performance so feel free to check in with the Philharmonic Society Box Office at 949.553.2422 a week prior to the performance.
