Giving Tuesday: Support Music in Our Community

What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement held on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities. This movement empowers us to build a world in which the catalytic power of generosity is at the heart of the society we build together.

Why support the Philharmonic Society?
The Philharmonic Society has been actively working to keep our community connected through music even during the pandemic where in person concerts have not been feasible. Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help us continue the work of developing and expanding our musical offerings in safe and creative ways. We have been presenting world-renowned artists digitally and restructuring our music education programs. The Orange County Youth Symphony is currently holding weekly socially distanced rehearsals in small groups and a virtual Music Mobile program is scheduled to launch in January. We need your help to make all these programs happen!

How can I support the Philharmonic Society on Giving Tuesday?
  1. Donate through our online form below or through our Facebook fundraiser.
  2. Share our posts on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter and encourage others in your network to give.
  3. On our Facebook fundraiser, let us know how music has connected you with others.

Musicianship Camaraderie Community
Musicians and brothers Anthony and Demarre McGill will perform for the Philharmonic Society's virtual Triumph Over Adversity Festival this December. 2020-21 Orange County Youth Symphony members practice while adhering to COVID-safe precautions. The Music Mobile along with the Philharmonic Society's other Youth Music Education Programs are adapting virtually to continue bringing music to our community's students.
