Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Campaign


MUSICMATTERS is a Peer-to-Peer fundraising campaign to raise much-needed funds to benefit the Philharmonic Society's Youth Music Education Programs. It enables us as volunteer fundraisers to draw support from friends, family, and our communities through emails, text, and social media.

Sign Up to Be a Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser

On your COMPUTER, TABLET or MOBILE PHONE:
  1. Enter this URL in browser: http://igfn.us/vf/musicmatters.
    The MUSICMATTERS campaign page will come up showing a media carousel with youth program pictures, MUSICMATTERS summary statement, Committees mission statement, and more.
  2. Click on BECOME A FUNDRAISER.
  3. Fill out the form with your first name, last name, mobile number, and email.
  4. Click BECOME A FUNDRAISER at the bottom.
  5. You are now signed up in the MUSICMATTERS campaign as a fundraiser! Now click JOIN OR CREATE TEAM.
  6. Scroll down, find your Committee/Group Team listed, and click JOIN by your Team.
  7. You've now joined a Committee/Group Team. Now click SKIP at the bottom.
  8. After step #7, you will get a confirmation email. SAVE this confirmation email to your computer (drag and drop email to computer desktop) and phone (archive or put in folder).
  9. From your confirmation email, click link to open to your personal FUNDRAISER page.
  10. Tell friends to TEXT from phone for link to FUNDRAISER PAGE.

  11. From your confirmation email, click on the EDIT icon to personalize your FUNDRAISER PAGE. You may then upload a photo, set your personal fundraising goal, and add a personal message. Then click SAVE.
  12. You are now ready to use your FUNDRAISER page!

FROM YOUR COMPUTER
  1. Open your personal FUNDRAISER PAGE.
  2. Click an icon to send an email or post on your social media page.
  3. Personalize the default message, which includes a link to your FUNDRAISER PAGE to make a DONATION.
FROM YOUR MOBILE PHONE
  1. Access your personal FUNDRAISER PAGE.
  2. Click the email, text, or social media icon to send a message with a link to your FUNDRAISER PAGE.
  3. Practice by making a DONATION.
  4. Give people the opportunity to donate to support youth music programs.

Tips & Strategies To Ask Your Friends to Donate

  1. IT IS EASY! Make a donation from your Fundraising page to see how it works.
  2. Tell your personal stories on Facebook about why you volunteer for The Committees.
  3. Email or text 10 friends asking for a small or large donation.
  4. Make your own donation and ask three people to match your efforts.
  5. Post your fundraising page link at least 3 times on social media.
  6. The more frequently you email and post, the more you will raise.
  7. When friends donate, tag them in a social media post and thank them for the donation.
  8. CHECKS ARE WELCOME! Donations will be entered into the system to be credited towards your team and personal goal.
