* Karen Kim is currently on sabbatical from the Parker Quartet. During Karen’s sabbatical, David McCarroll will replace her as second violinist. Daniel Chong (1st violinist in the quartet) has said the following about David:
“All of us first met David at the NEC when he started studying with Donald Weilerstein. We have seen him perform both in solo and chamber music settings. From the moment I first heard David I was struck by his playing. In terms of musicians, I find myself attracted to those who 'grab' me – those that have the ability to fully 'pull me in' and engage me in their playing. He is extremely talented and his aspirations were always honest, healthy, and true. He has passion, conviction, and elegance in his playing. All qualities that I believe will bring an exciting dimension to the voice of the Parker Quartet.”
